Maternal Health Conference
The goal of BLM NH’s Maternal Health Programs is to educate, advocate, and uplift by bringing visibility to the alarming disparities Black women and women of color face in reproductive and maternal care. These disparities are not just statistics — they are costing lives, causing trauma, and leaving too many unseen and unheard within healthcare systems.
Black women are dying, being harmed, and dismissed at disproportionate rates — not because of biology, but because of systemic neglect and bias. BLM NH is committed to confronting this crisis head-on by raising awareness, demanding accountability, and working in collaboration with partners across the state to drive the systemic change our communities deserve.

Divided Then Divided Now
oin us on February 22nd for dynamic panel discussion and a curated historical exhibit to examine the lasting impacts of Brown v. Board of Education; from the era of legalized school segregation to the realities we face today, and the futures we must fight to build.
Alongside the discussion, attendees will engage with a special exhibit featuring historical items from the segregation era. These materials offer a powerful, tangible window into daily life under Jim Crow and the courage of those who challenged it; reminding us that progress has always been driven by organized people, not passive time.
Together, the panel and exhibit invite participants to deepen their understanding of Brown v. Board not as a closed chapter, but as an ongoing call to action. This program centers truth, memory, and collective responsibility as we imagine what true educational freedom can look like for generations to come.

January Book Club Meeting
We Are Not Like Them follows the longtime friendship between Jen, a white woman, and Riley, a Black journalist, whose bond is shaken when Jen’s police-officer husband is involved in the shooting of an unarmed Black boy. As the incident makes national headlines, both women are forced to confront their beliefs about race, loyalty, and accountability. Through alternating perspectives, the novel explores how love and friendship can be tested by painful truths. It’s a heartfelt, timely story about empathy, courage, and the work required to truly understand one another.

New Hampshire, as many national educational facilities alike, has suffered from the consequences of challenging legislation. Different impending pieces of legislation and administrational acts in recent years have worked to deter the true education which our youth deserve through limited funding and curricula. However, by supporting our local community members and educational facilities, we can begin to resist the negative effects of these acts and continue to support one another.
